All proceeds go to Texas Children’s Pediatric Cancer Research as well as the
Christmas in July Event showering the kids and parents with gifts!
The event includes a grab and go breakfast, two beverages of your choice, swag bag, ball drop, as well as lunch at Kingwood Country Club. The event will include LOTS of fun events including: Longest Drive Contest, Cannon Shot, Putting Contest, Ring The Bell and much more! You can pre-purchase tickets for the lunch raffle for a chance to win some FANTASTIC prizes upon checkout.

Our Story
Mothers Against Cancer (MAC) was founded in1989 with the goal to raise funds to support pediatric cancer research. MAC is a nonprofit foundation with 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. The group seeks to honor and recognize the patients who so valiantly struggle against this disease and the parents who courageously uphold and support their children throughout the long and draining battle.
Our membership is made up of all volunteer women from the Greater Houston area with approximately 70 volunteers. We have raised over $8 Million for the cancer unit at Texas Children’s Hospital.
How We Raise Funds
Mothers Against Cancer conducts two signature fundraisers a year: our annual December luncheon and the Virginia Gandy 5K Fun Run. Virginia Gandy was a lifelong member of MAC who passed away in 2012 after a battle with cancer. We honor Virginia’s service with an annual event while continuing to support cancer research.
In order to best support our mission to raise the most funds for cancer research, we have made the
decision to change the 5K run to an exciting golf tournament to be held at Kingwood Country Club on
May 6, 2022.
